Gibson Custom Shop's 60th Anniversary 1960 Les Paul Standard V1 is a limited edition reissue of one of the most iconic Les Pauls in history. Gibson Custom Shop absolutely nailed the feel of a '60 original in this guitar, with several shining examples of their quality craftsmanship throughout. In 1960, Les Paul Standards were made in three distinct runs that represent one-third of the year. This guitar is a V1, which was made in the first third of 1960 and features identical specs to 1959 models. This painstaking attention to vintage authenticity is also felt in the guitar's color-matched Antiquity Burst finish, laser-scanned dimensions, and hide-glue construction. V1 of the 1960 Les Paul Standard also features an authentic '59 Medium-C neck profile, Kluson Single Line, Single Ring tuners, and amber control knobs. And with its pair of Custombucker Alnico III humbucking pickups, you get every bit of the legendary tone that made the Les Paul a household name. With its striking attention to detail in tone, in-hand feel, and overall incredible vintage authenticity, the 60th Anniversary 1960 Les Paul Standard V1 is one of Gibson Custom Shop's finest, and is a faithful recreation of one of the most revered guitars of all time.
