The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Faded - Vintage Honey Burst takes the familiar '50s Les Paul formula and gives it a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that feels broken-in without changing what makes the design work. This is a great fit for players who want the fuller feel of a '50s-style Les Paul neck, traditional non-weight-relieved construction, and the straightforward two-humbucker setup that has covered everything from blues and classic rock to heavier styles for decades. The Vintage Honey Burst finish also lets the AA figured maple top do plenty of the visual work without feeling overly dressed up.
The solid mahogany body and AA figured maple top pair with a set mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and 50s Vintage profile for a substantial, familiar feel in the hand. A Burstbucker 1 in the neck and Burstbucker 2 in the bridge provide the classic Les Paul split between a warmer neck voice and a more focused bridge sound. Each pickup gets its own volume and tone control, with hand-wired Orange Drop capacitors and a three-way toggle keeping the electronics traditional and easy to work with on stage or in the studio.
An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, lightweight aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Graph Tech nut, and Vintage Deluxe tuners give the Les Paul Standard 50s Faded a dependable hardware package, while the 12" fingerboard radius and 22 medium jumbo frets keep both chord work and bends comfortable. We like this one for the player who wants the core Standard 50s experience with a smoother satin finish and a little less gloss between their hands and the guitar. A Gibson hardshell case is included.
