The Gibson SG Standard '61 retains the styling of the original featuring a SlimTaper mahogany neck & a bound rosewood fingerboard. The mahogany body features deeply sculpted body scarfing, a 5-ply teardrop pickguard & a 22nd-fret neck joint. The nickel-plated hardware includes a classic-style Tune-O-Matic bridge & Keystone tuners. The pickups have been upgraded to DiMarzio PAF humbuckers, offering muscular yet dynamic tones. Controls feature audio taper potentiometers & Orange Drop capacitors. Set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various mild surface scratches throughout along with a small dent/chip in the treble-side of the body, lower bout.
Neck: Slim Taper mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays. Medium Jumbo frets are clean with no wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body finished in Vintage Cherry. Aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece & ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with nickel hardware. 5-ply small black pickguard. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 15.8 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Unoriginal DiMarzio PAF humbuckers with black bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. Black "top hat" knobs with silver inserts. Hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
