Description
The SG Bass has the legendary looks, sound & feel which made it one of Gibson's most iconic basses. The short scale length is actually a big part of this sound & is preferred by many for the strong fundamental tone for which this bass is known. As expected, the solid mahogany body has deeply sculpted scarfing & the rounded profile mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard feels familiar yet comfortable. A pair of calibrated SG bass pickups with individual volume & master tone controls add further tonal possibilities.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with only mild play wear - minor nicks & dings along with surface scratches, but great shape overall.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Grover Shamrock open-gear tuners. 1.6" nut width; 30.5" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with 5-ply black pickguard. Top-loading, 3-point bridge with 4 adjustable saddles & chrome hardware. Bass weighs 8 lbs 12.2 oz.
Electronics: Full-size neck humbucker & mini bridge humbucker with black bezel. Dual volume & master tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
