Description
From crystal clear tones to the heaviest raunch the ST IV has it all. A classic design, combining hand selected woods with the best in hardware & electronics. A truly versatile guitar with amazing tone & playability. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: Various surface scratches, but really nice shape overall.
Neck: Hard rock maple neck with 11.5" radius rosewood fingerboard & micro dot inlays. Medium nickel-silver frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Locking tuners work perfectly. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Two types of maple are used to construct the body. A light-weight maple back is combined with a figured maple top. This combination of light & heavier maples is balanced to produce plenty of sustain without adding excessive weight to the guitar. Schaller low-profile vintage-style tremolo bridge with original trem arm. Gold & black hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 8.9 oz.
Electronics: The ST IV is powered by two Godin passive twin blade pickups (neck & middle) along with a bridge humbucker. This very versatile system is augmented by the Michael Braun passive EQ system which applies a midrange filter to one half of each of the pickups selected by the 5-way switch. This produces a "single coil" type sound without adding noise or losing volume. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
