Description

What makes this guitar special: Gretsch's G6120TB-DE is a remarkable tribute to the king of twang himself, Duane Eddy. A truly unique Gretsch, this Limited Edition Artist Signature model is a 30.3" scale 6-string bass (tuned E to e), and has an array of great features that make it stand out. The Black Pearl finish, stealth ghost gray G-brand bound ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, and mother of pearl split hump-block inlays add to the bass’s exceptional overall patina. Its ’59 trestle bracing and double-cutaway hollow body give the bass a lively, resonant in-hand feel. Plus, thanks to the standard “U” shaped neck and 22 vintage small frets, it’s easy to fret anywhere on the 12” radius ebony fingerboard. This is a truly exceptional Gretsch Signature model.

Cosmetic Condition: Excellent overall condition. This baritone does have some minor surface scratches that show in direct light, as is normal with a used black gloss-finish instrument.

Neck: Standard "U" shape maple neck with 22-fret, 12" radius ebony fingerboard, gloss finish, white binding, 30.3" scale length, and Mother of Pearl Split Hump-Block inlays.

Body: Laminated Maple body with trestle bracing, double cutaway, gold hardware, and Bigsby B6CDE.

Electronics: 2x Dyna-Sonic pickups with 3-way toggle switching, individual volume knobs for each pickup, plus Master Volume and Master Tone knobs.

Weight: 7 lbs. 7.2 oz.

Case: Original Gretsch hardshell case included.

Why We Love Gretsch

Gretsch has been handcrafting guitars for over 135 years. The unique sound of the Gretsch semi-hollow body guitar has become synonymous with rockabilly music, one of the first styles of rock ‘n roll. Gretsch guitars are a favorite among musicians like Chet Atkins, Brian Setzer and George Harrison. At Cream City Music, we love Gretsch too, which is why we always have a huge selection of new, used and vintage Gretsch guitars in stock.
