Description
This German-made beauty was inspired by Paul McCartney's '63 500/1 & was intentionally "aged" at the factory to give it that well-worn, "played" look. Featuring a comfortable maple neck & loaded with a pair of "staple" pickups for that unmistakable Hofner tone. Professionally set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Factory relic job - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear.
Neck: Lightly flamed maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Two-on-a-strip open-gear tuners with white pearloid buttons. 1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound, violin-shaped body in sunburst finish. Spruce top with 4-ply binding. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge. There is no pickguard. The bass was not drilled for one, nor is one included. Flame maple sides & back with 4-ply binding. Both the top & back are arched & the bass weighs a delightful 4 lbs 13.2 oz.
Electronics: Dual Hofner "staple" pickups with black bezels. Dual volume controls with "tea cup" knobs. Rhythm/Solo, Bass & Treble switches all in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & accessories.
