A spectacular sounding hollow body featuring a stunning flame maple neck & fitted with a Höfner "Diamond" floating pickup. Common to all Höfner jazz guitars is the neck-to-body joint at the 16th fret, which allows easy access to the upper end of the fretboard. Gorgeous tone & superb playability ensures this beautiful New President will live on in the hands of its next owner. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to perform straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Flame maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Hofner & floral inlays. Gold Schaller tuners with ebonoid buttons. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Hollow body with cutaway in natural high-gloss finish. Solid, hand-carved German spruce top with dual F-holes & 6-ply binding. Ebony tailpiece & compensated bridge on a floating base. Ebony pickguard has a tiny crack in the top near the control knobs that was professionally glued by us. Flame maple back & sides. Arched back with 4-ply binding. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 4 oz.
Electronics: Höfner "Diamond" floating neck pickup with master volume & tone controls mounted to the pickguard. The pickup bezel had a small crack in it & was professionally glued by us. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
