Description

The 1978 Ibanez PF200 in Black comes from the original Performer Series era, built in Japan during the late '70s. While it follows a familiar single-cut format, the PF200 has its own identity with a bolt-on three-piece maple neck, Gibraltar bridge, and Quik Change tailpiece. The combination of mahogany and maple construction gives it a substantial feel without straying too far from the formula players were looking for at the time.

Equipped with a pair of original Ibanez Super 70 humbuckers, the PF200 remains one of the more sought-after models from this period. The Super 70s are known for their clear top end and strong midrange response, making them a big part of what keeps these late-'70s Ibanez guitars in demand. It has been professionally inspected and set up.

Cosmetic Condition:
Shows wear consistent with age and use. Surface scratches, small dings, and handling marks are present throughout, but it's honest playwear.

Neck:
Three-piece maple bolt-on neck with a 24.75" scale length. Ebonized rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and 22 frets showing minimal playwear. Gold hardware throughout. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.

Body:
Mahogany body with maple top in black finish. Gibraltar bridge and Quik Change tailpiece. Gold hardware. It weighs 8lbs and 10.5oz.

Electronics:
Original Ibanez Super 70 humbuckers with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup and a 3-way toggle switch. Electronics are functioning properly.

Case:
Hardshell case included.
