Description
The 2008 Ibanez SR706 in Transparent Black is a straightforward extension of the Soundgear platform into a 6-string format, keeping the same fast feel and compact body shape the series is known for. The mahogany body with figured maple top and center block gives it a balanced response with a focused low end and clear top, while the slim SR6 neck keeps it manageable despite the extended range.
This example is equipped with Bartolini MK1 pickups paired with an active 3-band EQ, powered by a 9V battery. The pickups themselves are passive, with the onboard preamp handling EQ shaping. Controls are simple and effective, with volume, balance, and bass/mid/treble boost and cut. It has been professionally inspected and set up.
