Description
An interesting take on a timeless classic, this Johnston features a Strat-style body with traditional neck & middle single coils, but with a Tele-style string-thru bridge & pickup. Finished in Surf Green & given a relic treatment, it's well-made USA boutique solid body electric guitar. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: Intentionally "aged" by the builder to give it that well-worn "vintage" look.
Neck: Maple neck with 7.25" radius maple fingerboard & black dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Oversize headstock with bullet truss rod & single string tree. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Surf Green. Tele-style string-thru bridge with three adjustable "barrel" saddles. 3-ply aged white pickguard & original bridge cover included. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 13.3 oz.
Electronics: Hand wound Alnico 5 single coils (neck & middle) & Seymour Duncan STL-1B (bridge) with 5-way selector switch. Middle position is neck & bridge pickups. Master volume & dual tone controls with skirted knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Tweed hardshell case included.
