This thing has it all- The 2016 Line 6 Variax Standard in White takes a familiar Strat-style platform and integrates the Variax HD modeling system into a traditional layout. Built in collaboration with Yamaha, it uses an alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, keeping the it super familiar while adding expanded functionality through onboard electronics.
You got three Yamaha Alnico V single-coil pickups along with an L.R. Baggs Radiance hex piezo system. The control layout adds Guitar Modeling for one knob(from things like just using the built in pickups raw sound, to emulating T style guitars, Lesters, Resos, and the Piezeo system enables extra fun with different Acoustic models), an alternate tuning knob(this thing tracks pretty well, you just want to make sure you turn up your amps volume to prevent yourself from hearing the strings alongside the pitch shifted signal) alongside standard volume, tone, and 5-way switching. It can be used as a conventional electric guitar or for modeled sounds and alternate tunings, with both 1/4" output and VDI digital interface available. It has been professionally inspected and set up.
Cosmetic Condition:
Clean overall with light signs of use. Minor surface wear consistent with handling.
Neck:
Maple neck with a 25.5" scale length and 1.625" nut width. Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and 22 medium frets showing minimal playwear. Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.
Body:
Alder body in white finish with Strat-style contours. 6-screw tremolo bridge. It weighs 7lbs and 12oz.
Electronics:
Three Yamaha Alnico V single-coil pickups with L.R. Baggs Radiance hex piezo system. Controls include master volume, master tone, model select, alternate tuning, and 5-way switching. 1/4" output and VDI digital interface. Electronics are functioning properly.
Case:
Non-original Gigbag included, also includes 1x battery and 1x battery charger- See photos. Trem arm is NOT included.
