Description

Martin's D-28 Bigsby is a unique Custom Signature Edition guitar inspired by Merle Travis. This guitar is a partnership with Gretsch, with a maple high-performance taper beck and eye-catching Bigsby headstock. As its name indicates, the D-28 Bigsby is built off of the newly redesigned D-28s in production since 2017. Features include East Indian rosewood back and sides, with a Sitka Spruce top. Like the new D-28s, the D-28 Bigsby takes several cues from vintage Martins, with open gear tuners, antique white accents, and faux tortoise pickguard. These all contribute to the guitar’s warm, classic aesthetic, but none more than the aged toner Sitka Spruce top. The aged top gives the guitar somewhat more of a vintage look, while also giving it the sound of a dreadnought that’s been warmed up and broken-in. This is an aesthetically unique Martin with classic tone and exceptional in-hand feel that you won’t want to miss out on.

Cosmetic Condition: Excellent overall condition. This Martin has a few small surface scratches on the top from light playwear, but is in really great shape overall, with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: Hard Maple neck with Ebony fingerboard. Satin finish, Mother of Pearl inlays, 20 frets, and Nickel Enclosed Six in Line tuning machines.

Body: D-14 Fret size Sitka spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back/sides. Forward Shifted "X" bracing, gloss finish, ebony bridge, and faux tortoise pickguard.

Case: Original Martin hardshell case included.

Weight: 4 lbs. 13 oz.
