Description
Martin's D-28 Bigsby is a unique Custom Signature Edition guitar inspired by Merle Travis. This guitar is a partnership with Gretsch, with a maple high-performance taper beck and eye-catching Bigsby headstock. As its name indicates, the D-28 Bigsby is built off of the newly redesigned D-28s in production since 2017. Features include East Indian rosewood back and sides, with a Sitka Spruce top. Like the new D-28s, the D-28 Bigsby takes several cues from vintage Martins, with open gear tuners, antique white accents, and faux tortoise pickguard. These all contribute to the guitar’s warm, classic aesthetic, but none more than the aged toner Sitka Spruce top. The aged top gives the guitar somewhat more of a vintage look, while also giving it the sound of a dreadnought that’s been warmed up and broken-in. This is an aesthetically unique Martin with classic tone and exceptional in-hand feel that you won’t want to miss out on.
