Description
A silky smooth player with a warm, rich tone & a big, boomy voice that projects exceptionally well. This gorgeous HD-28 has been professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape considering it's almost 30 years old - various little nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking. There's some finish disruption on the back of the neck & a tiny crack in the bass-side of the body, upper bout, that was professionally glued & cleated quite some time ago. Overall the guitar has a great look with a cool vibe.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Martin diecast tuners work great. 1 11/16" nut width ; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with herringbone purfling. Solid spruce top with ebony bridge & compensated saddle White bridge pins with black dot inlays.
Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with zig zag center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 12.7 oz.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
