Description
The 2024 MTD Kingston Super 5-String Bass is built around a modern, high-output platform with flexible electronics and a fast, ergonomic feel. It uses an ash body paired with an asymmetrical maple neck and compound radius fingerboard, designed to keep the instrument comfortable across the full range. The 35" scale length on the 5-string version keeps the low B tight and defined, while the overall construction stays focused on consistency and control.
This model is equipped with dual MM-style humbuckers and an active 3-band EQ, along with individual mini toggles for each pickup to switch between series, single coil, and parallel modes. The control layout allows for a wide range of usable tones without changing the core character of the instrument. It has been professionally inspected and set up.
Cosmetic Condition:
Clean overall with light signs of use. There is a minor ding on the headstock. Otherwise shows minimal wear.
Neck:
Asymmetrical maple neck with carbon fiber reinforcement and 35" scale length. Fingerboard with compound 10"-14" radius and 24 frets showing minimal playwear. Licensed Hipshot Ultralite tuners. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.
Body:
Ash body with top-loading bridge and smoked chrome hardware. Standard 5-string spacing at 19mm. It weighs 10lbs 8oz.
Electronics:
Dual MM-style humbuckers with active 3-band EQ. Controls include volume, pickup blend, bass, mid, and treble, along with individual 3-way mini toggles for each pickup (series/single coil/parallel). Electronics are functioning properly.
