Description
A faithful recreation of John Lennon's modified '59 325 in Mapleglo. These reissues made their debut in '84 & this particular model was manufactured in '96. This cool little number has all the hallmarks of Lennon's first Rickenbacker - the short scale neck, three pickups & TV knobs with Bigsby tremolo. Production ceased around 2001 & these are becoming harder to find. The Mapleglo version is more sought after than the Jetglo since it's more like the one John used in the early club days in Hamburg. Also the Mapleglo finish shows off beautiful variegation in the wood not to mention some stunning birdseye figuring in the back of the body! Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
