Derived from a design dating back to 1957, the 381/12V69 is known for its hand-carved arch top and back. Employing only premium 'charactered' Maple, the 381V69 has a fully bound body with 'checked' binding and extreme double cutaways, along with a bound crescent sound hole to complete this exquisite guitar. Since discontinued, these models have ascended in value-and a super clean example like this doesn't come along all that often. Cosmetic Condition: Fantastic condition! Exceptionally clean & looks brand new. Even the case is clean & includes the original polish cloth & owner's manual!
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with white binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl triangle inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Slotted headstock with vintage-style Ric Deluxe tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work perfectly.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with hand-carved arch top & back finished in Fireglo. There's some nice flame figuring in the body. Checkered binding on the top & back with bound crescent hole."R" tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge, double-notched for 12-strings. Split-level white pickguard & chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 10.2 oz.
Electronics:Vintage-style "toaster top" single coils. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend. 3-way toggle switch; mono & stereo outputs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
