A seriously cool one-off from boutique builder Rukavina, this Offset J Model brings together premium tonewoods, custom-wound pickups, and clever design details for a unique and inspiring player's instrument. The African mahogany body features center laminations of black walnut and wenge, topped with a natural satin finish that shows off the striking grain. A one-piece Delrin ball-end retainer replaces traditional ferrules for the string-through design, paired with a Wilkinson half Tele bridge for rock-solid stability and familiar feel. Rukavina's own pickups, an overwound Alnico V bridge humbucker with coil-splitting and a P-90-style neck pickup cover a wide tonal palette. Individual volume and tone controls for each pickup plus a push-pull coil split on the bridge humbucker.
The black walnut neck sports a beautifully figured ziricote fingerboard, 12" radius, and Jescar frets with a golden EVO wire at the 12th. The profile starts as a subtly offset C at the nut and transitions to a standard C shape at the heel, comfortable and ergonomic, especially for thumb-over players. 25" scale and a hardened brass nut with a solid set of 18:1 Grover tuners. Hand-built attention to detail, fully copper-shielded cavities, and wax-potted pickups round out the thoughtful craftsmanship. Professionally inspected and set up by our in-house techs, this is a high-quality instrument that punches well above its boutique weight.
Cosmetic Condition:
Very good overall with some light glossing on the satin finish from contact and minor playwear on plastics. No major dings or damage-just honest signs of use.
Neck:
Black walnut neck with ziricote fingerboard, 12" radius, Jescar frets (gold EVO fret at 12th), 25" scale length, 1 11/16" nut width. Offset C to C profile (.830" to .915"). 18:1 Grover tuners. Minimal playwear. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.
Body:
African mahogany with black walnut and wenge center laminations, natural satin finish. Wilkinson half Tele bridge, hardened brass nut, one-piece Delrin ball-end retainer. Resonant, balanced tone with great sustain.
Electronics:
Rukavina-wound pickups-bridge humbucker with coil split, neck P-90. Independent volume and tone controls. Push-pull coil cut on neck tone knob. Fully copper-shielded cavities, wax-potted pickups. All electronics function properly.
