Description
The Vintage Southerner is Santa Cruz Guitar Company's tribute to classic southern-style acoustics, with a bold dreadnought sound, warm aesthetics, and a shorter scale length that truly makes it a pleasure to play. This dreadnought-shaped acoustic’s mahogany back/sides lay an exceptional tonal foundation that contributes to loads of projection and a bold, loud sound perfect for chords. However, your mids and highs aren’t sacrificed through spirited strumming; in fact, they’re brought to the forefront through the guitar’s Adirondack spruce top and Adirondack spruce binding with hot hide glue. This makes a world of difference in this acoustic’s tone, with enhanced sustain, projection, and overall presence. Another great attribute of the Vintage Southerner is its shorter 24.75” scale length which makes navigating the guitar’s round-shaped mahogany neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard a breeze. This Santa Cruz also has vintage-style looks, with a Sunburst top finish, and Tobacco Brown finish on the back, sides, and neck. Black binding, an ivoroid rosette, and a tortoise pickguard round out this guitar’s warm aesthetics. This specific Vintage Southerner is a marvelous acoustic in every facet of its design, and will be a true treat to play for anyone who’s lucky enough to own it.
