Hand-made in Austin, TX, the WL-S Deluxe possesses a richness, dimensionality & warmth that must be heard to be believed. Inspired by ornately-appointed Stella guitars from the 1930's, the WL-S features intricate wood purflings & custom acrylic inlays for an appearance to match its detailed tone. A toned, semi-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish completes the WL-S Deluxe, bringing out the nuances of this ladder braced design. Solid cherry wood back & sides further enhance the unique character of this guitar, providing exceptional balance & articulation. Additional features include a vintage correct "Soft-V" neck profile with an adjustable truss rod, slotted headstock & a pyramid bridge with a cut-through saddle. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Vintage correct "Soft V" shape solid mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. 12" radius Indian rosewood fingerboard with deluxe acrylic floral inlays. Medium 18% nickel-silver frets are clean with no wear. Slotted headstock with ivoroid binding & stenciled Waterloo logo. Golden Age Restoration tuners with cream buttons. 1 3/4" bone nut width; 24 7/8" scale length. There is no truss rod, but the neck is straight & plays great!
Body: Double- bound, parlor size body with ivoroid-bound soundhole. Solid spruce top with vintage top toner & vintage-inspired ladder bracing. Herringbone purfling & rosette. Ebony pyramid bridge with 2 3/8" spacing & ebony bridge pins. Bone cut-through saddle & no pickguard. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs a delightful 3 lbs 1.8 oz.
