Constructed entirely of tone-rich maple, the Yamaha SA503 TVL Troy Van Leeuwen Signature Electric Guitar is a semi-hollowbody with a set maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, and three soapbar-style single-coil pickups with a custom all-access switching system. The pickups are wired up to dual 3-way selectors that make any pickup combination possible, including reversed-phase humbucking options. A chrome pedestal bridge and a licensed Bigsby vibrato tailpiece add to the vintage feel and versatile performance. This is a guitar designed to walk the fine line between modern performance and vintage style and sound.
Modern guitarist Troy van Leeuwen has navigated his way through a variety of bands and left his indelible mark in each of them. From session work with Depeche Mode, Korn, and Limp Bizkit to his role in A Perfect Circle, Troy has done it all. With his current spot in Queens of the Stone Age, Troy is helping reinvent the band and realize Josh Homme's twisted musical vision. His guitar of choice? His own Yamaha signature model the SA503 TVL.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with mild surface scratches.
Neck: Set maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. 14" radius rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. 22 jumbo frets in great shape with no wear. Grover tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Bigsby Tremolo tailpiece & Chrome pedestal bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 6.1 oz.
Electronics: 3 soapbar-style single coil pickups with individual volume controls & master tone control. Dual 3-way pickup selector switches (all-access system). All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with owner's manual.
