Description
What makes this mandolin special: Dynamite player with a loud, powerful tone thanks to the absolutely gorgeous red spruce top. Simple yet exquisite with lots of charm & a superb vintage vibe. Professionally set up by our luthier so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with light play wear - minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches, mild buckle rash & some finish wear on the back of the neck. No cracks or breaks. The previous owner painted the back & sides of the headstock with black paint, perhaps to touch up some finish wear. Overall the mandolin has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Strip tuners are in good working condition. 1 3/16" nut width; 14" scale length.
Body: Double-bound, A-style body with dual F-holes. Solid red spruce top in sunburst finish. Nickel tailpiece with compensated rosewood bridge. Tortoise pickguard shows a small spot of deterioration, but overall is in great shape. Maple back & sides with some pretty variegation in the wood. Mandolin weighs 1 lbs 13.6 oz.
Case: Original two-tone brown chipboard case included.
