Description
What makes this guitar special: A superb player bursting with charm & authentic vintage character. With a chunky neck this gorgeous archtop delivers a bright, punchy tone with smooth attack. Professionally set up by the experts at Cream City Music with nice low action & wonderful playability.
Cosmetic Condition: Typical wear & tear for a guitar of its vintage - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's about a 4 inch long crack in the top, lower bout, bass side of the guitar. The crack appears to be superficial & there's no movement when pressure is applied. It really looks more like a deep scratch.
Neck: Chunky, flame maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Open-back tuners are in good working condition, although there is some slight shrinkage on the A & B tuner buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with dual F-holes. 3-ply binding on the top & back. Gorgeous flame maple back & sides. 17" lower bout width. Original trapeze tailpiece with wooden crossbar. It's rare to find these in such good condition since the wood typically tends to crack. Floating rosewood bridge. Pickguard is missing. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 10.6 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
