Description
What makes this guitar special: A magnificent, true vintage J-45 with a spectacular sound - big & booming - like a cannon! The guitar has had some work done to it so it's priced more like a player's grade, making it very affordable indeed. Features include a big, chunky neck & Adirondak top for superior tonal quality. Professionally set up our luthier, so she's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The body has a few repaired cracks & the entire guitar has been oversprayed. There's a 2 in the back of the headstock, indicating the guitar was a factory second, but it's impossible to tell now what made it so. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a cool vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mis-matched Kluson Deluxe tuners are in good working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Round shoulder dreadnought in sunburst finish. Solid Adirondak spruce top with 3-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with pearloid dot inlays & cream end pins. Tortoise pickguard & 3-ply rosette. Solid mahogany back & sides with single-ply binding. Guitar weighs 3 lbs 15.7 oz. There is no pickup.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
