What’s special about this guitar: This is a beautiful sounding 6196 Country Club with a phenomenal tone! This guitar has been refinished, re-bound and the pots, control knobs, wiring, nut, tuners, bridge and tailpiece are all unoriginal newer model parts. The pickups are original and sound stellar! The guitar was professionally refinished in a translucent red finish with stunning flame figuring and is simply gorgeous. This particular piece has a remarkable acoustic sound. It has a deep, rich, full-bodied tone with plenty of bass response without even being plugged in. When it is plugged in, the original DeArmond pickups are the perfect match to the body and do an exceptional job of capturing the guitar’s natural sound!
Condition: This guitar is in very good overall shape! As mentioned above it has been professionally refinished and rebound. There are various light surface scratches and a few tiny dings throughout the guitar with some light buckle rash on the back. The fingerboard, frets and inlays are unoriginal and in great condition! The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. The pickups are original, the wiring, pots, control knobs, bridge, tailpiece and tuners are unoriginal. The fingerboard and block inlays are also unoriginal though the work was done professional and clean. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound body with flame maple top, back and sides in translucent red finish. The figuring throughout the guitar is absolutely stunning! Gretsch trapeze tailpiece, Sunchro-Sonic bridge, Gretsch Arrow control knobs and dual bound f-holes. Lower bout: 17” wide x 3 ¼” deep. Upper Bout: 12 ¼” wide x 3 5/16” deep.
Neck: Super comfortable and nicely rounded maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid block inlays and a 1 ¾” nut. Bound headstock with gold Grover Imperial tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original DynaSonic pickups in the neck and bridge. Dual volume controls, master volume control, master tone control and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 9.29K Ohms.
Bridge: 8.99K Ohms.
