Description
What makes this guitar special: A magnificent D-28 with good, honest play wear & an ultra cool, true vintage vibe! This one has a really nice, broken-in look to it with tons of charm & character. A true road warrior with a rich, powerful voice, glistening top end & marvelous sustain. Professionally set up by our own luthier & ready for action straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Well played & it shows - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The top center seam separated a bit quite some time ago & was professionally repaired. There's a repaired headstock crack that runs diagonally across the front & back. The repair was well done & the headstock is quite stable with no issues. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. The 12th fret side-dot is missing. Beautiful ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. The guitar was refretted & the frets are all in great shape with no wear. "Waffle back" nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. The G tuner is slightly bent, but functions perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays nicely up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid Adirondak spruce top with 6-ply binding. Unoriginal rosewood bridge, end pins & saddle. Original tortoise pickguard; multi-ring rosette. Solid Brazilian rosewood sides & back with 3-ply binding & checkered center strip. The Brazilian displays a pretty straight grain pattern in a nice chocolate color, although there are some nice swirls in the rims. There is no pickup & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 13 oz.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
