Description
A vintage 1956 Narrow Panel Fender Super 2x10 tube combo amp in fantastic cosmetic condition. Aside from the replacement handle (broken original handle included), this amp is all-original. The speakers, cones, transformers, and internal circuitry have never been replaced. The tubes themselves are probably not original but all are period-correct American-manufactured types.
Cosmetically, the amp is in great shape. The tweed has a few blemishes and wear spots, but it is 100% intact, with no holes or tears. The chrome control panel has a bit of surface pitting but the silk screening is fully intact and readable. Overall, the amp is in remarkable condition for its age.
This amp has been cleaned up and tested. It is fully functional and sounds amazing. Single notes jump out of the original vintage Jensens in a way that cannot be replicated by modern reissue speakers, and chords are beefed up by the wood-y resonance of the half-century-old pine cabinet. This is a truly special amp that would be a great match for any serious collector or musician.
