Description
What makes this guitar special: A true vintage beauty, with a chunky mahogany neck and fabulous hollow body resonance. The P90 pickup delivers a familiar crisp tone when plugged in, while the full-hollow construction ensures that this one sounds terrific acoustically as well. The perfect guitar for playing around the house, or cranking up for a classic woody tone. Professionally inspected and setup by our top-notch in house luthiers, it will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some expected wear and tear consistent with usage. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, small chips, and scuffs present, with visible pickwear on the pickguard and finish checking throughout the instrument. The tuning buttons are not original, but the tuners are. There is one notable area of discoloration in the finish on the back near the endpin, and there is some slight binding shrinkage along that area as well. Original frets show some wear, but still have life in them. Much of the hardware shows tarnishing and/or oxidation. Overall, this one has a great look to it, with a beautiful patina.
Body: Hollow body construction with dual f-holes. Double bound laminated maple top & back with mahogany sides. Original tortoise pickguard has warped slightly with age, but shows no cracks or breaks. Compensated rosewood bridge with floating rosewood base. Original nickel trapeze tailpiece.
