Description
Condition: This is a great sounding, rare bass guitar. It has a very unique design and a pickup with tons of output. There are various scratches, and small nicks, dings and dents throughout the finish. The string cover is missing. The neck is very straight overall but does show a slight relief in both the treble and bass sides. A shim was added to the neck resulting in a better neck angle and more comfortable action. Truss rod functions fine. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. The pickguard has developed a nice patina giving it a cool aged look. The tone control rolls off some highs but also rolls off some volume when turned down. Installing a new capacitor could provide better tone control. The electronics otherwise function fine.
Body: Solid contoured double-cutaway body in flame red finish. Two-point tailpiece with metal bar bridge and a single-ply aged white pickguard with dual plastic control knobs and a thumb rest.
Neck: Slender bolt-on maple neck with rich rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Closed-gear tuners, 30” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-Coil pickup in the neck position with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 27.9K Ohms.
Weight: 8lbs, 3.5oz.
Playability/Sound: The pickup on this guitar offers a very full, round tone and sounds huge! The body has a very unique shape and the slender neck is extremely comfortable!
Case: Includes unoriginal chipboard case in good overall condition.
