Description
What makes this guitar special: A sweet sounding Folk model from the early '60s made in Shelbyville, TN. Comfortable to play & a great travel companion.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. There are two repaired cracks in the top - one that runs down the center & the other that runs parallel to the neck on the treble side. Both cracks were professionally repaired - glued & cleated. There's a tiny bit of binding shrinkage in the body waists. There's a bit of a gap between the back of the bridge & the top. However, the bridge is actually screwed down & not glued, so it's really not going anywhere. There's a small section of body binding missing on the treble side, lower bout. The pickguard has come unglued in one spot, but is still quite firmly attached to the top. Overall the guitar has a great, authentic vintage look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, tapered mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with large mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.
Body: Solid spruce top with 3-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins & mother of pearl dot inlays. Tortoise pickguard & 5-ply rosette. Mahogany back & sides with cream binding. 14 1/2" lower bout width; 11" upper bout width; 4 3/4" depth. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 2.4 oz. There are no electronics.
Case: Old chipboard case included.
