Description
Cosmetic Condition: Super cool vintage vibe! When the guitar came to us the body finish had been completely stripped off. A local friend of ours professionally refinished the body in a very cool, lightly aged Shoreline Gold. The original tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & just a little bit of shrinkage. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Maple neck with beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Original frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Most of the lacquer has worn off the back of the neck from years of play & there are a few minor nicks & dings. The four middle tuners are original Kluson Deluxe, but the two E tuners are newer Grover Deluxe. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck date is 4 MAY 62 B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body refinished in Shoreline Gold. Original 4-ply tortoise pickguard in good condition with a few minor chips in the surface near the input jack, but no cracks. Original tremolo tailpiece with adjustable bridge & cover. Guitar weighs 8lbs .5oz.
Pickups: Original Fender Jazzmaster single coils. The neck pickup was just professionally rewound by Tom Brantley. Bridge - 7.93k ohms; Neck - 8.40K ohms. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Playability / Sound: Nice action - neck plays well & is very comfortable. Classic Jazzmaster tone!
