Description

What makes this guitar special:  100% original with a super cool vintage vibe!  Rich, powerful tone with gorgeous resonance & bell-like chime.  Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!  The serial number on this one reads BL852, dating it to Dec of '62.  George Harrison's 425 serial number was BH439, dating it a few months earlier to Aug.

Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with typical play wear for a guitar that's over 50 years old.  Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & finish wear.  There's a pretty good sized chip in the headstock, just below the low E tuner.  No cracks, breaks or repairs.  Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Nicely rounded maple neck with beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays.  Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear.  Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rods work fine.

Body:  'Cresting Wave' solid body finished in Fireglo.  Neck-thru design with solid maple wings.  Top-loading tailpiece with compensated bridge.  Single-ply, large white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks.  Guitar weighs 6 lbs 6.5 oz.

Pickup:  Original Rickenbacker 'toaster top' single coil - 7.39K ohms.  Master volume & tone controls with 2-way tone filter switch.  Pots date to '62 & electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
