Description
What makes this guitar special: A straight forward rock n roller from the '60s with a bad ass look & tone to boot. Loaded with a pair of Hofner "diamond" single coils, the guitar exudes a true vintage sound that's warm & robust. Professionally set up & ready for action upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Naturally aged with good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, heavy weather checking & finish wear. The white finish has aged quite a bit over the years & shows some nice variegation throughout. There were some floral decals previously on the body as evidenced by the "ghosting" image left in the finish. Overall the guitar has a cool, authentic vintage look with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, chunky maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Raised Hofner headstock logo. Open-back nickel tuners with pearloid "crown" buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid body finished in white. Tremolo tailpiece with adjustable bridge. Two-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 3.6 oz.
Electronics: Hofner single coils with nickel "diamond" covers. Bridge - 6.83K ohms; Neck - 5.40K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with on/off switches for each pickup. Electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Vintage case included - a little beat up, but serves its purpose well.
