Description
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe for a 50-year old guitar & quite an amazing player as well! The guitar recently came to us with a cracked bridge that was lifting. Our luthier professionally repaired it & you can't even tell! The guitar shows typical wear & tear for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & play wear. The neck is straight & neck angle is perfect, so the guitar plays & sounds incredible. It has been professionally set up by us with a fresh pack of strings & low action. The guitar offers a warm, rich tone with lots of dynamics & sustain - a real joy to play & hard to put down!
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in good working condition. The D & G tuners are slightly bent, but still function properly. Neck is straight & truss rod works well, although the truss rod cover is missing. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs to the neck. It has never been reset, nor does it require one.
Body: Double-bound, round shoulder dreadnought finished in cherry sunburst. Solid spruce top with mahogany back & sides. Rosewood bridge with plastic adjustable saddle. The bridge pins are mismatched, but work well. Original tortoise-style pickguard is in good shape with no warping or cracks around the soundhole. The guitar is very light weight at only 4 lbs 3.9 oz & is very resonant.
Case: Original faux alligator chipboard case included.
