Description
What makes this guitar special: 100% original with a super cool, authentic vintage vibe! The guitar produces a warm, woody tone with a rich resonance & superb playability. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh string & low action, so it sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: This was the previous owner's 'go-to' guitar, as evidenced by the considerable play wear - lots of nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There are some surface cracks along the laminate sides, particularly around the input jack, but these are purely superficial & do not affect playability or sound quality. The inside label is mostly missing, but based on the year this guitar would have been made in Hoboken, NJ. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Medium profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Nickel Kluson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Single cutaway, hollow maple body with bound top. Guild trapeze tailpiece with compensated rosewood bridge. Black 'stairstep' pickguard with gold Guild logo. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 1.2 oz.
Pickups: DeArmond single coils with black bezels. Bridge - 5.58K ohms; Neck - 5.69K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are original & in perfect working condition.
Case: Later-period Guild hardshell case included.
