Description

What makes this guitar special: A terrific sounding player grade Jumbo, with a huge voice, booming low end, and punchy midrange. This piece outplays guitars at twice its price point, with a vibe and patina that is positively stellar. Professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, it will arrive ready to play.

Cosmetic condition: Plenty of good honest wear-this one’s been through the ringer. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with numerous areas of finish wear and finish checking throughout. A pickup was previous installed on the top, and holes were drilled, which have been filled. The guitar was also fitted with a tailpiece at one point as well. There are various other small chips in the top and sides. The entire body has been refinished, so most of these are under the new layer of clear coat. The tuners are contemporary reproductions, and there is a stabilized stress crack along the center seam of the back of the neck. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the structural integrity of the guitar at all. The neck has also been refretted. Overall, this one has a fantastic look to it, with a great patina.

Body: Ivoroid bound solid mahogany back & sides with multi-bound solid Sitka Spruce top in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with bone saddle and ivoroid bridge pins. Tortoise pickguard and multi-ring ivoroid rosette.

Weight: 4 lb, 2.7 oz

Neck: Medium profile D-shaped mahogany neck with pearl side dots and pearl dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is in good shape, with just some light pitting near the first position. The neck has been refretted, and frets have a lot of life in them. Black headstock overlay with gold Gibson logo and reproduction strip tuners in perfect working condition. The back of the headstock shows a superficial crack along the center of the neck (see photos). Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.

Case: Unoriginal hard shell case included.
