Description
Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish blemishes. The previous owner attached a marijuana leaf decal to the top of the body between the bridge & tailpiece. There is finish over it so we left it alone. There's also some amateur finish work under the tailpiece where the black part of the sunburst has "bled" into the lighter part. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red micro side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gold Grover tuners have tarnished, but are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. "G" Cutout tailpiece with compensated wooden bridge. Most of the gold finish has worn off the tailpiece. Gold plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo. There's a small crack in the pickguard around the bracket screw.
Pickups: Gretsch FilterTron humbuckers with silver bezels. Master volume & separate pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup & tone selector switches; standby switch.
Playability / Sound: Low action & comfortable playing neck. Sweet, resonant tone.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
