What makes this guitar special: An absolutely phenomenal piece, with deluxe appointments and a fantastic vintage aesthetic. A full hollow German jazzbox with fabulous acoustic projection and resonance to match its stellar electric tone. The pearl inlays throughout the instrument have aged beautifully into a lovely cream color, which balances nicely against the dark sunburst finish. You really don’t see too many great examples like this one! This piece has been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Fantastic shape for its age, with some light wear throughout. Various scratches, dents, nicks, dings, and scuffs, along with some weather checking. A small ridge can be felt along the seams on the neck heel, but there are no structural issues. Neck has been refretted, and frets show almost no wear at all.
Body: Double bound maple body with dual bound f holes in sunburst finish. Compensated rosewood bridge with floating rosewood base and nickel trapeze tailpiece. Side mounted pearloid pickguard is in good shape, and has warped slightly but hasn’t cracked or broken.
Weight: 5 lb, 3 oz
Neck: C-shaped 3 piece maple neck with pearl inlay on the neck heel. Double bound rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape with no visible pitting, and replacement frets have a ton of life left in them. Pearl and tortoise headstock overlay with pearl truss rod cover. Gold open gear strip tuners with pearl buttons. 1 11/16” nut width with zero fret. 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and plays great up and down the length of the fingerboard.
Electronics: Dual Hofner 510 pickups with pearl spackled electronics panel. Dual teacup volume knobs, and rhythm/solo, bass, and treble switches.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
