Description
A terrific sounding Country Gent with silky smooth playability in the ever-desirable “Chet configuration,” sporting a SuperTron in the neck & a FilterTron in the bridge. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Nice shape for its age with some typical wear & tear throughout - various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips & scuffs are present, along with some characteristic binding rot resulting in a couple small areas of chipping mostly around the body. There's some very minor finish chipping along the seam on the back of the neck. However, it's purely cosmetic & does not affect playability. Most of the gold hardware has tarnished. Overall the guitar has an authentic vintage vibe to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Small frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Bound headstock with Grover tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, semi-hollow maple body with simulated F-holes. Multi-layer top & back binding. Bigsby tremolo with Rocking Bar bridge. Double string mutes function, however, the pads have deteriorated over time. Gold plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 6 oz.
Electronics: SuperTron neck humbucker & FilterTron bridge humbucker, both with gold bezels. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup & tone selector switches along with standby switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
