Description

What makes this guitar special:  True vintage Mosrite Ventures model with an ultra cool look & super comfortable feel.  Professionally set up by us so it plays great & sounds amazing!  Cream City Music is committed to providing the best possible service to our customers & we strive hard to ensure our vintage guitars are advertised as accurately as possible.  This particular Mosrite, however, is slightly perplexing as it relates to the body finish.  The metallic blue finish is indeed the proper color used during this time period, however, when we took the guitar apart we noticed remnants of red finish in various cavity areas, namely the pickguard screw holes & neck pocket.  The electronics, wiring & black tape under the neck pickup are correct.  The neck pocket is clean & still shows the ink dates, as does the back of the neck.  We're not 100% sure, but it's quite possible this guitar started out red, but was changed to blue before it shipped.  There's some 'orange peel' in the finish in a few spots, but this appears to have been caused by overspray & not necessarily from being refinished.  In short, it's difficult to say for sure if it was truly refinished after it left the factory or if it was done by Mosrite.  Either way, it's still a magnificent guitar with lots of vibe.

Cosmetic Condition:  Great shape for its age with some light wear & minor finish blems - surface scratches & small finish chips that have been touched up.  Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Slender profile maple neck with cream binding & black side dots.  Dark rosewood fingerboard with micro dot inlays.  Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning fine.

Body:  Solid maple body with a beveled top.  Moseley tremolo tailpiece & six-saddle adjustable bridge.  3-ply mint pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs even.

Pickups:  Mosrite single coils.  Bridge - 10.87K ohms; Neck - 9.89K ohms.  Master volume & tone controls with Mosrite logo knobs; 3-way toggle switch.  All electronics are in good working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
