Description

What makes this guitar special:  100% original & in great shape for its age. The Mapleglo finish has aged beautifully into a mellow golden color, while the body shows off some nice figuring in the wood.  The checkered back binding & crushed pearloid fret markers are the classic standout features of this model, making the guitar one of the most desirable Rics on the market today.  The slender profile neck is very comfortable to play & the guitar delivers a warm, rich resonance that's unmistakably Rickenbacker.  Professionally inspected by our vintage experts & set up by our luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!

Cosmetic Condition:  Wonderful condition for a 50 year old guitar.  Obviously used, but certainly not abused & shows signs of typical wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings (mostly on the back of the neck); surface scratches, light buckle rash & mild pick wear.  Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Slender profile maple neck with walnut center strip.  Nicely aged cream binding with black side-dots.  Rosewood fingerboard with crushed pearloid triangle inlays.  Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Slotted headstock with nickel Kluson Deluxe tuners in good working condition.  1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rods are in good working condition.

Body:  Semi-hollow maple body with bound slash hole.  "R" tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge.  Each saddle is double-notched for 12-strings.  Bridge cover is missing.  Split-level white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks.  Guitar weighs 7 lbs 10 oz.

Pickups:  Single coil "toaster tops" with dual volume & tone controls.  Blend/boost knob; 3-way toggle switch; mono & stereo outputs.  Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
