Description
What makes this guitar special: A 50-year old beauty with a cool, true vintage vibe. This marvelous 360 model has a wonderful, warm acoustic resonance to it coupled with a rich tone that extends from dark, earthy & organic up to bell-like chimes. The Mapleglo finish looks fantastic & shows off some really gorgeous figuring in the body. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just how we like 'em - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The guitar previously had Gotoh tuners on it so there are extra holes in the headstock underneath the current, vintage Klusons. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple & walnut neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with stunning crushed pearloid inlays. Original small frets show some wear, but still have life in them. Unoriginal, yet period-correct, Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. The guitar previously had Gotohs, but we found a set of vintage Klusons that would have been very similar to the original tuners on this guitar. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods are functioning.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with bound slash hole & checkered back binding. "R" tailpiece & six-saddle adjustable bridge. Bridge cover is missing. Split-level white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 3.8 oz.
Pickups: Original "toaster top" single coils sound fabulous & deliver that classic Rickenbacker tone. Dual volume & tone controls with blend knob; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
