Description

What makes this guitar special: This one was obviously well-loved, but is absolutely loaded with charm and has a truly gorgeous vintage patina. The obvious standout feature on this one are the inlays. It’s very rare to find a Gretsch with the double thumbnail inlays, which would be awesome on its own…however, a previous owner went to the trouble of adding even more inlays to this piece And while they might be kind of cheeky, they’re an absolute injection of vintage mojo. There’s plenty of authentic wear throughout this one, but all the right pieces are there-a comfortable ebony fingerboard, a set of Patent No. FilterTrons, and of course the simulated F-hole design for tightened bass response and tonal balance. This one has been professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: This one was obviously someone’s go-to, and shows plenty of wear consistent with age-various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, scuffs, and some typical light seam separation along the back of the headstock. The binding shows characteristic rot along the edges of the body and neck, and there are a few sections where it has chipped away. There is some typical cracking in the pickguard. Frets show wear consistent with age, but still have some life left in them, and there is visible finish checking throughout the guitar. Overall, this piece has a great look to it, with a unique vintage patina.

Body: Double bound maple hollow body in walnut finish with simulated f-holes. Compensated rocking bar bridge with ebony base and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. Clear pickup bezels with gold Gretsch pickguard.

Weight: 8 lb, 5 oz

Neck: Medium profile rounded maple neck with red side dots and double pearl thumbnail inlays with added center-inlaid trapezoids. Bound headstock with Chet Atkins Country Gentleman badge and pearl Gretsch logo. Original Grover tuners with butterbean tuning buttons. 1 11/16” nut width with zero fret. 24.6” scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.

Electronics: Dual Patent No. FilterTron humbuckers (Bridge-4.38K ohms, Neck-4.18K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch, 3-way tone switch, standby switch, and G-Arrow knobs, 2x individual volume, 1x master volume.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
