What makes this guitar special: A superb Vox 12-string with an ultra cool vintage vibe. This gorgeous Mark XII is very similar to the model the Stones used in '60s. Featuring a "teardrop" shape body, three single coil pickups & tremolo tailpiece, this is an amazing player producing bell-like tones with all the chime you could ask for. Professionally set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's guaranteed to play perfectly right out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for a 50-year old guitar with light wear - various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches, mild finish cracks & a tiny bit of discoloration in the pickguard. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with some light birdseye figuring. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Original frets show some light wear & have plenty of life in them. Open-back strip tuners are in good working condition. 1 7/8" nut width with zero fret; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Teardrop shaped solidbody finished in white with round back pad. All the snaps are present & the pad is in great shape. Tremolo tailpiece with adjustable bridge. The bridge cover is missing. 3-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & clearly displays the Vox & Mark XII logos. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 4.5 oz.
Pickups: Original single coils with chrome bezels. The base of the neck pickup was broken when we acquired the guitar, so we had it professionally repaired, hence the difference from the other two. Bridge - 5.64K ohms; Middle - 5.65K ohms; Neck - 5.97K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with 5-way selector switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original Vox pouch & polish cloth.
