What makes this guitar special: An absolutely gorgeous, true vintage 12-string dreadnought with Brazilian rosewood back & sides. The guitar has a rich, powerful tone with lush resonance & brilliant sound projection. It's been professionally inspected by the experts at Cream City Music & set up by our own master luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Super cool vibe with that perfect vintage look - used but not abused. There are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild finish checking. The bridge had already been re-glued when we acquired the guitar. The bridge is firmly secured to the top & is not lifting up in any places. There is also no sinking or bellying in the top. There's about a six inch long crack in the center of the back that was professionally repaired by our luthier - glued & cleated. The original pickguard had shrunk & curled up along the edges causing a minor crack in the top that was also just repaired by our luthier - again, glued & cleated. He replaced the pickguard with a new one, but the original is included with the guitar. The neck has never been off the guitar & does not need to be reset. Our luthier heat pressed it, so it's now straight & plays well up & down the fingerboard. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Slotted headstock with Brazilian rosewood overlay. Strip tuners with cream buttons in perfect working condition. 1 7/8" nut width; 25" scale length.
Body: Round shoulder dreadnought body with solid spruce top & 6-ply binding. Ebony bridge with cream end pins; black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Solid Brazilian rosewood sides & 3-piece back with 3-ply binding. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 12.5 oz.
Case: A modern Martin deluxe hardshell case is included with the guitar.
