Description
What makes this guitar special: A fantastic example of an iconic instrument, with excellent balance, a light weight, and a super comfortable chunky neck profile. This piece has it where it counts, and is sure to have you playing for hours at a time. Professionally setup by our expert in-house luthier, it’ll arrive ready to play out of the case!
Cosmetic condition: Awesome shape for a used piece, with some honest wear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, and scuffs present, with visible tarnishing on the hardware. The original tuners have been replaced with contemporary Gibson Deluxe’s, and the neck has been refretted (new bone nut cut as well). Overall, this one has a great look to it, with an honest patina.
Body: Solid double cutaway mahogany body with multi-ply black pickguard, Tune-O-Matic bridge, and engraved lyre vibrato tailpiece.
Weight: 6 lb, 13 oz
Neck: Chunky 3-piece solid mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, black side dots, and pearl trapezoid inlays. 1 5/8” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with pearl Gibson logo inlay & crown. Neck has been refretted and frets have a ton of life left. Unoriginal Gibson Deluxe tuners work great. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.
Electronics: Dual Gibson humbuckers (Bridge-7.65k ohms, Neck-7.65k ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and black witch hat knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume. Pots date to ’70 and all electronics are fully functional.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
