Description

What makes this guitar special: This piece has tons of charm, with all the character that only a vintage instrument can provide. It has a few bumps and bruises, and shows some signs of its age, but has a rich and warm tone with lots of gusto and projection. It comes with a professional setup from one of our in-house luthiers, so you can be sure it will arrive ready to play.

Cosmetic condition: Pretty decent shape overall, with some notable scars and issues. There are various surface scratches, dents, dings, nicks, and scuffs throughout the instrument, as well as some expected weather checking and finish wear in a few areas. The back of the bridge shows very slight separation, and the top shows some visible bellying as well. There is some finish cracking and very light separation at the neck joint, but the fit is still structurally sound. Frets show considerable wear, but still have some life in them-there are no intonation issues anywhere up and down the neck. There is also an installed 1/4" jack near the back of the guitar, and a mounted under-saddle pickup which does not appear to function.

Body: Double bound mahogany back and sides with solid spruce top in natural finish with rosewood bridge and black pickguard. Lower bout width measures 16” across with 4 3/4" depth, and upper bout width measures 11 3/4" across with 4 1/4" depth.

Weight: 4lb, 7.5oz

Neck: Nicely rounded semi-chunky mahogany neck with white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in nice shape with only some visible wear near the first position, and frets have a fair amount of life left in them. 1 3/4" nut width with 25 1/4" scale length. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. Action is pretty good overall, and plays nicely up and down the fretboard.

Electronics: Electronics ready, with 1/4" jack already installed near the back of the guitar and pickup assembly in place.

Case: Vintage chipboard case included.
