Description

What makes this guitar special: An early 70’s beauty with a gorgeous vibe and tremendous vintage patina. This one was obviously gigged and well-used, but certainly not abused. The C-shaped maple neck has just the right amount of “chunk” to it, which in tandem with the narrower nut width makes it extremely comfortable to play. The 24” scale length makes bends and lead lines a breeze, while the rosewood fingerboard is soft and smooth up and down the entire length of the neck. As with all our pieces, it has been professionally inspected and set up by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of its factory hard shell case.

Cosmetic condition: Used, but not abused, with typical playwear throughout. Various scratches, dents, nicks, dings, chips, and scuffs throughout, with a few areas of finish checking and light fret wear. The body edges show a good amount of chips and dings, along with some finish chipping above the neck pocket, and there is visible buckle rash on the back as well. Overall, this one has a great player’s look to it, with a beautiful patina.

Body: Contoured double cutaway alder body in sunburst finish with 3-ply pearloid pickguard, six-saddle bridge and Fender tremolo tailpiece.

Weight: 6 lb, 13.8 oz

Neck: C-shaped gloss maple neck with black side dots and pearl dot inlays. Nicely variegated rosewood fingerboard is in awesome shape, and while frets show some wear, they do appear to have been leveled and play brilliantly up and down the length of the neck. 1 5/8” nut width, 24” scale length. Original F stamped tuners function great. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.

Electronics: Original single coil pickups (Neck-4.74k ohms, Bridge-5.58K ohms) with individual pickup selector switches and black knobs with white indicators, 1x tone, 1x volume. One of the potentiometers has been changed and dates to ’96, the other is original and dates to ’71. All electronics are in fully functioning condition.

Case: Original hard shell case included. Tremolo arm is included in the case.
