Description
What makes this guitar special: A bad ass '71 Tele with ultra cool, true vintage mojo combined with killer tone & feel. This one's a rock n roll monster, featuring a chunky neck & a blonde finish that has aged perfectly over the years. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City so it's ready to hit the stage upon arrival!
Cosmetic Condition: This baby's been around & it shows with lots of good, honest wear & tear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The blonde finish has aged nicely & shows of some beautiful variegation throughout the body. What appears to be grey primer was painted along the side of the body from about the input jack, all along the bass side & then finally tapering near the upper strap button. Not sure what that's all about, but it's been on there for an awfully long time. Overall the guitar has a really cool look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Chunky profile maple neck with "skunk" stripe & black dot inlays. The guitar was professionally refretted with bigger frets some time ago. The frets show some wear, but have plenty of life them & make playing the guitar very easy. F-tuners are in good working condition. Other tuners were previously on the guitar as evidenced by the additional screw hole that can be seen just under the low E tuner. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid ash body in blonde finish. String-thru bridge with adjustable barrel saddles & original bridge cover. 3-ply white pickguard has also aged nicely into more of a parchment color & is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 14.5 oz.
Electronics: Original Tele single coils. Bridge - 5.96K ohms; Neck - 6.70K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. 3-way selector switch with black "top hat" cap. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
