Description

What makes this bass special:  100% original with a cool vintage vibe!  Beefy maple neck is super comfortable to play & the bass has a warm, resonant tone.  Professionally set up by us so plays & sounds great!

Cosmetic Condition:  Used, but not abused, with typical play wear for a 40 plus year old bass - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, light weather checking & finish wear.  Overall the bass has a wonderful look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Rounded, chunky maple neck with black side-dots.  Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays.  Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them.  The front of the headstock shows off some nice figuring in the maple & the decals are in great shape.  Fender nickel tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.  Neck date stamp reads 5 DEC 72B.

Body:  Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst.  Top-loading bridge with four adjustable barrel saddles.  Bridge cover is missing.  4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with only one very tiny crack near the input jack.  Bass weighs a very comfortable 8 1/2 lbs.

Pickup:  Original split single coil with grey bottoms.  Pickup cover is missing.  Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs.  Both pots date to '72.  All electronics are original & in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
